I’m one of those who loved this book. I honestly saw very few faults and none of those were deal breakers for me. Mere seconds after I closed the book I started feeling that nostalgic feeling I used to get reading and finishing the HP books. It’s so sad, I hate it but it lets me know just how much I enjoyed the book. Since I’ll only be saying the same thing as every body else who loved the book and has reviewed it, I’ll talk about the things I didn’t like instead.
First of all, I hate how Ron was portrayed. I’ve never liked Ron but it bothered me how much of a caricature of the original character this version was. I don’t know if he was supposed to be the comedic relief, but it felt…unnecessary to portray him that way.
I also didn’t like how there was this talk about how Harry didn’t “see” Albus and I’m just, “What does that even mean?”. It’s not like Albu’s character was that complicated, was Harry so shitty a father he seriously couldn’t understand his son, at all? I’m not a parent, and maybe parenting really is that difficult and I just didn’t get it. However, I didn’t feel like there was really a solution at the end either. Well, yes there was, but it was really anti climactic.
The third thing I didn’t like, and this one is not about the book, it’s about some of the reviewers. Please stop trying to turn this beautiful friendship into a romance. There is no romance. Boys can hug and be close and just be friends. Rose did not get in the way, yes, hate her for being a judgmental poop, but not because she got in the way of the boys’ non existent romance. The only reason this bothers me so much is because I’ve been craving a beautiful friendship for a long time and I want this friendship to be recognized for what it is.
I think that’s all I have to say about that.
Score: 5 badly drawn wands out of 5.
What did you think of the big twist with Delphi?

I haven’t read it, but I ran into the spoiler. It honestly reminds me of a fanfic I wrote when I was a teenager
Although, without spoiling anything for anyone who happens upon this comment, I think it’s an interesting way to take the story. I just don’t want to picture you know what :O

Yeah it’s strange >< It's like why would anyone? But at the same time it's weird because it's so mundane.
