Even though I read 8 volumes I was only able to complete 2 new challenges. I guess most of the manga I read is pretty similar.  I’ve completed 16 of the 52 challenges, that’s really not a lot. But I really want to concentrate on reading the manga I own, before going out to purchase new manga to complete the challenges.

Kamisama Kiss vol. 22: Hmm, well, it’s been two weeks since I read this volume and I can’t remember what happened specifically. The climax is about to begin and I have no idea which turn it will take. I love not knowing what’s going to happen next. I assume we will get a happy ending at the end of the series, but how we get there is a bit of a mystery!

Challenge completed: None, previous Kamisama Kiss volumes already completed all possible challenges.

QQ Sweeper vol. 1-3: QQ Sweeper was a short 3 volume series. While the concept of having a clean home correlating to having positive emotions is not new, I really liked how the author portrayed this. I liked that characters literally cleaned both people’s consciousness and their homes in order to stop their negative emotions. They also made cleaning seem fun and more than just a shore. Cleaning can be something you can really take pride in. It can be something that helps you relax and it can be something that can help lift your spirits. Again, this concept isn’t anything new, but I think it was presented in an interesting way.

School Rumble vol. 1: This is a hilarious slice of life series concentrating in school romance. Sadly, the series was never completely published in English so I can’t whole heartedly recommend it, but I do recommend the anime.

Challenge completed: A contemporary/Slice of Life Manga.

My Neighbor Seki vol.1: I really didn’t know what to expect with this one. I’m so glad I gave it a chance. You get so much with little dialogue and interaction between the two main characters. You feel the excitement, irritation, and anticipation same as Yokoi as she watches Seki play on his desk, next to her. And I think it’s because we’ve all been there. We’ve all had that one classmate that never pays attention in class, messes around yet never seems to get in trouble. But the moment you get distracted by them, you get called on by the teacher. I’m looking forward to reading more volumes and I hope I enjoy this series until the end.

Inu x Boku SS vol. 1-2: I have to admit that the main reason I’m reading this series is because I love the anime so much, but because it’s so short I figured the manga had a lot more to offer. I’ve watched countless times and I still find it just as sweet as the first time. These two volumes have pretty much covered the entire anime, so I’m looking forward to what happens next.
